   Link joined the Educational Foundation board in January 2017 as secretary until December 2021. He holds Bachelors and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering, a professional certification in Aviation Safety Management Systems (ASMS) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Piano. After retiring from the USAF, he worked for ConocoPhillips – Alaska, assisting in the development of their corporate aviation safety risk model for North Slope flying operations. 

   Link has amassed over 9000 flying hours as a retired command pilot with the USAF, qualified in multiple fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. He is an avid volunteer who divides his time between the Educational Foundation, Civil Air Patrol, Habitat for Humanity, Hearts with Hands, and ABCCM Ministries serving homeless veterans.
