Nancy Marstal
Nancy is a native of Atlanta, GA and has lived in Asheville since 1992. Prior to Asheville, she resided in Boston for 12 years, working for an international executive suite organization, Headquarters Companies, and was instrumental in the opening of their six locations in the Boston area and Providence, RI.
During that time, she trained for and received her Private Pilot certificate. She was an active member of the Eastern New England Chapter of the Ninety-Nines (International Organization of Women Pilots) and was deeply involved in their volunteer projects that funded their annual aviation scholarship programs. In Asheville, she continues to be an active pilot and aircraft owner.
Nancy has been on the WNCPA Educational Foundation board since 2016 serving on various committees including the Selection Committee of its annual Aviation Grant Program.
Her community volunteer involvements also include WNC Pilots Association, WNC Air Museum and local Chapter 1016 of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Nancy also enjoys gardening, hiking, and most any outdoor activity.

Andy Guenette
Duties: As Treasurer, Andy is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the Foundation and reporting the monthly numbers to the Board of Directors. That includes managing and disbursing the grants awarded by the Foundation to aviation students, receiving and acknowledging all donations to the Foundation, revising grant procedures and promotional materials. Other duties include managing the Bank account, the Insurance policy, filing IRS returns, managing the charitable reporting and licensing of the Foundation with the NC Secretary of State, managing our charitable funds with the Community Foundation of Henderson County (CFHC). Andy is also a member of the Foundation’s Grant Selection Committee that reviews the annual grant applications and awards.
Aviation-related Background: Andy was lucky to learn to fly at one of the oldest flying clubs in North America, the Ottawa Flying Club in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (CYOW) and received his Private certificate in 1973 and Commercial License in 1976. A seaplane endorsement was added in 2009. Andy owned and flew a C152 for a few years. He has been a resident of WNC for 20 years and has been a member of the WNC Pilots’s Association since 2006 and served on the WNCPA Board for a couple of years prior to taking a break for 3 years (2012-2014) to join his wife who was then working in Brussels, Belgium.
After returning from Belgium, Andy joined the WNCPA Educational Foundation Board as Treasurer in 2015.
Personal: Andy has been retired for a few years now, has been married to Patricia MacFarland for 33 years. They have one son, working as an engineer in California. Andy’s past includes a technical working career started in computer manufacturing, then in computer sales, and ended his working days in computer application support. Hobbies include house maintenance, upgrades and gardening. (aka: “Handy Andy”). RV’ing was also a past activity and may be again in the near future. He also stays active as Treasurer on the board of his neighborhood HOA.
